Jacó / SJO short trip
Arrive → lesson Day 2 → dawn practice → one adventure block → buffer. Skip coast-hopping. Guide: Jacó.
Pick a base, shape a realistic week, book lessons or tours where you land, and compare Pacific vs Caribbean—without cloning the trip or tours guides.
Most strong Costa Rica surf vacations are five to ten nights in one base, with dawn sessions, one coaching day early, and at least one soft day for travel, rain or rest. A two-base vacation only pays off when the transfer is half a day or less and you still protect a buffer before the flight.
Lesson-heavy weeks prioritize coaching and board fit. Lifestyle weeks keep more afternoon space for food, wellness or town time. Set that expectation before you book widgets—hotel lists alone will not tell you which beach fits your level.
“Adventure” weeks differ from a pure lesson block: boat or island days, multi-spot hopping within one corridor, and flat-swell backups (parks, snorkel, wildlife) so the vacation still works when the ocean is messy. Keep adventure as one H2 inside a vacation plan—not a separate itinerary product.
